What even is an Anasazi bean? While the meaning of the term Anasazi is controversial among archaeologists and pueblo communities, the bean itself is one of the few crops known to have been cultivated by the cliff dwelling Ancestral Pueblo people. Found in ruins throughout our area, this bean is presently grown at 7,000 ft. on the same land the Ancestral Pueblo inhabited as early as 130 A.D. Pretty neat!
